The best picture books are designed to be read over and over: sure, we know what happens in the end, but we still can’t believe how we got there. McFig and McFly. Abrams Books, Young Iggy Peck is an architect and has been since he was two, when he built a great tower — in only an hour — with nothing but diapers and glue. “Good gracious, Ignacious!” his mother exclaimed. “That’s the coolest thing I’ve ever seen!” But her smile faded fast as a light wind blew past and she realized.

Henrik Drescher was born in Copenhagen and immigrated to the United States in He began a career in illustration as a young man and has been traveling throughout the United States, Mexico, Europe and China, creating massive journals of notes and drawings wherever he went/5(). These poems come from Wilbur's books Opposites () and More Opposites (). With the same logic that children exhibit, the poems cleverly fend off the peltering demands for opposites where there are none, by creating pairs on the spot. The opposite of a laughing hyena? A weeping willow! The antithesis of two? ``A lonely me,/A lonely you.'' Drescher interprets Wilbur's poems with abandon.

Pat the Beastie book. A warning: "You should never monkey around with a Beastie!" Once upon a time a little boy and girl named Paul and Judy had a pet called Beastie. Unfortunately, Paul and Judy weren't very nice to Beastie. In fact—they were downright naughty. They pulled Beastie's fur and jiggled Beastie's eyes. They tickled his feet and plucked his boogers. “McFig and McFly” is illustrator Henrik Drescher’s latest children’s book and it is certainly one of his most dramatic books ever created since Simon's Book.

In this tale, two neighbors named McFig and McFly started competing with each other to see who has the better house/5. In Henrik Drescher's latest book, "McFig and McFly," it tells the tale of two next door neighbors, McFig and McFly who at first started out as good friends when McFly and his son Anton moved next door to McFig and his daughter Rosie and McFly decides to build his cottage exactly like McFig's cottage/5(4).
